Get outside and come take a hike with Pawlouse Animal Shelter
Starting March 2nd Pawlouse Animal Shelter will start hosting weekly hikes up Kamiak Butte. We encourage you to bring your dog along as we venture up the mountain for a 3.5 mile hike. Hikes will start at 11:00 am every Saturday though September 7th. Hikers and their dogs will meet at the head of the trail.

Annual Fundraiser: Lights of Love

Lights of Love raises money to help offset the costs of running the shelter. It is a night of fun, dancing and food along with opportunities for all to open their hearts and pocketbooks to help the shelter. We appreciate all donations big or small because everything helps!
This event will take place on April 5th from 6:30-10 p.m. at the Pawlouse Animal Shelter.
Pawlouse Puppy Training Classes

New puppies can be a handful, and the volunteers and staff of Pawlouse Animal Shelter are here to help! We will be teaching our adopters about proper care for their pups, first aid, leash training, and how to teach your pet good behavior. Our staff and volunteers are knowledgeable and ready to help equip you with the best tips to care for your new pup!
Pawlouse Puppy Training will begin their next session of classes on April 10th and continue through May 8th. Each class will take place in the shelter each Wednesday evening from 7-8:00 p.m. To sign up or for more information contact us at (509) 322-8539 or email us at pawlouse_as@gmail.com.
Cat Care Classes

Our Cat Care classes will equip both new cat owners, and current cat owners with the best tips to care for their cats. We cover proper feeding, first aid, grooming, litter box care, and so much more! Our staff and volunteers care deeply about the animals in our shelter, and want our adopters to feel equipped to care properly for their pets and provide a loving, safe home.

Pawlouse Animal Shelter 15th Anniversary Founders Jubilee

In honor of our founders Lorrie and Larry Fielding, Pawlouse Animal Shelter will be hosting our Founders Jubilee on May 11th at 5:30 p.m. We will be celebrating 15 years of operating our no-kill shelter, and the many hours our staff and volunteers have contributed to the care and wellbeing of our animals. Join us for an evening of fun and food! Tickets for the dinner will be $10 per person, which includes one plate of food, one dessert, and a drink ticket, good for one drink and one refill. We will have a live-band playing the event, carnival games for the kids, and a raffle, all proceeds go toward the Pawlouse Animal Shelter!
