Socialize with Pets
Besides adopting pets there are so many ways to help make the lives of animals easier. At Pawlouse Animal Shelter we offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for all ages. Volunteering with animals is a good way to get your "animal fix" if you can't have your own and also helps our animals become socialized with others. We sincerely appreciate all our volunteers hard work and hope you will join their numbers!
Pawlouse Pals Volunteering!
To help our animals get accustomed to many different types of people we offer an opportunity for volunteers to come in and play with the cats and dogs. Dogs especially love attention and need to be assured of affecion often so by socializing with them you are helping them feel comforted and happy.
Also a great opportunity to get your dog and cat "fix"when you are unable to own your own pets.
We have a small staff and greatly appreciate those volunteers who can help us keep our faclities clean and safe for all our animals. The pets definitely appreciate it!
Dogs need lots of walks and exercise to help them stay healthy and happy. We always need volunteers to help take the dogs on walks and to play fetch with them in the yard. A good opportunity to get exercise for yourself as well as our dogs!
We host a variety of events throughout the year including our anual fundraiser, weekly walks and many others and always need an extra hand! Contact our staff if you are available to help with upcoming events.
